Woodalter

About Woodalter

Since 2018, Woodalter has aimed to provide alternative options for decoration, replacing natural wood in both indoor and outdoor architectural projects.
We began with the WPC brand Maxiswood and have since expanded to include Alcawood (aluminum), Dasso (bamboo), Inwood (WSPC), and Zhuart by Moso (bamboo), offering architects and project owners more choices for various design concepts.

History

Woodalter was founded in 2018 by engineer Mr. Mang Bomeas and architect Mr. Prou Sokcheat while working on a condominium project that required wood plastic composite (WPC) materials, which were scarce locally. They sourced materials from Thailand’s Maxiswood and saw the potential for sustainable wood alternatives.
They launched their own brands: Alcawood (aluminum wood grain for decoration) and Inwood (WSPC floor for interiors), and also brought global brands Dasso and Zhuart by Moso to the Cambodian market. With the slogan “Wood Alternative for Decoration,” Woodalter has completed over 1,000 local projects, promoting eco-friendly solutions.
Their goal is to expand globally, helping reduce the use of natural wood and supporting environmental sustainability.

A Gift of Nature for the Future of Architecture

woodalter gift to Nature

19th-July-2023

On a meaningful July morning, Woodalter made a heartfelt contribution to the future of design and sustainability by donating handcrafted bamboo benches to the Architecture Department of the Royal University of Fine Arts (RUFA). The benches, made from eco-friendly materials, were placed around the university grounds to provide students with comfortable, sustainable seating in their learning environment.

Gathered in front of the department building, a team from Woodalter, RUFA faculty members, and students came together to celebrate this small but impactful moment. It was more than just a furniture handover—it was a symbol of collaboration between local business and education, a gesture of support for young architects, and a step toward greener public spaces.
By choosing bamboo—a renewable and durable material—Woodalter hopes to inspire students to consider environmentally conscious materials in their future creations. This moment marked the beginning of a deeper partnership between innovation and education, shaping a sustainable path forward for Cambodia’s design community.
